Mike Flynn & Bill Barr Lose in DC Appellate Court, Case Returned to Judge Sullivan for a Hearing

1. Now does the judge hold a hearing on the reasons for the dismissal?

Does he find out who ordered that the dismissal be filed. Wich of the DOJ attys aren't going to lie about it.

or does he just refuse it, sentence Flynn and we start another round of appeals.

2. Probably neither

The most likely outcome is that he grants the motion after a relatively limited hearing. There's a chance that the process takes long enough that Trump feels a need to pardon Flynn before he leaves office... but the court told Sullivan not to dilly dally and he immediately scheduled the next step for the very first day the ruling became effective.

There have been a number of odd curveballs in the case, so it could happen again... but Sullivan's attorney seemed to agree that isn't likely to occur.
