How many remember this. Maybe Barnabas could fill us in one the orange hemorrhoid's ranting today:

(22,516 posts)I think we have outgrown it, but I don't know if the squatter in the White House is referring to this when he is talking about dark shadows running Joe?

(11,098 posts)Campy as hell, but I loved it.

(5,106 posts)They tried to revive it in the early Nineties with, of all actors, Ben Cross (Chariots of Fire) as Barnabas. Funny, I was just reminded of that because Cross passed away just recently. It was the first thing that came to mind when Trump referenced "dark shadows."

That's why I went and found this to post.

(5,128 posts)So, every afternoon, once we got home from elementary school, we all would get home about 3:30 to 3:45 and would run as fast as we could to put all our stuff in our homes, say hello to our families, and then gather at one of the houses to watch 'Dark Shadows' at 4 pm. We loved it. My fave character was Quint the werewolf. Even went as him one year for Halloween. I was okay with the remake but part of the original's charm was the campy work and how their creativity managed to create a cultural icon that is still talked about today. (And to say the budgets were low and time was short was an understatement!)
