He's said it multiple times and meant it. I've never understood demanding an apology. It's like asking for someone to be insincere. If he was sorry, he'd have said it once and that would've been it. Instead, he's said such things on multiple occasions. Nothing he could say can wipe the slate clean for this veteran or many others that I know. It's a lost cause. What they should be doing is encouraging other vets to support, and vote for, the guy who actually supports them and even had a decorated son who was a veteran.
