As for the good doctor, does she know she's saying reckonize for recognize, and does she know the difference between exasperate and exacerbate? Hard to believe these are slips of the tongue. Maybe it's just Virginny down home folksy.

I feel educated people should use the English language properly. I've seen Ivy League educated journalists on TV butcher it as if they barely entered college. Maybe it's a sign of the times, I don't know. But if you want to sound educated for all the education you have, grammar up!
