Our town has about 20,000 residents. Not sure how many are voting age, probably about 8,000.
We have several Facebook pages. One is fairly open to opinion, the other has become so radical, pro tRump that the members crucify anyone who might post or reply to a poster who might be critical of the idiot we have in the white house.
It has become very nasty. Anyone who does not follow the gospel of tRump is demeaned, criticized...whatever.
The other is open to discussion, some good, some critical.
I cannot understand why this town which has an educated population can swallow the BS coming from this administration.
Back in 2016, I suggested that townsfolk join DU. Some of the posts were not nice and indicated that the name indicated that we are a radical group.
I know it is late in the game but can someone please give me a good description of DU so that I might spread the word without a ton of blow-back. I swear some of the readers on our local pages see the word 'underground' and think that this group is akin to the Nazi's or something. I can't understand it.
This old timer remembers back to Eisenhower...that is a milestone. I'd like be to around long enough to see this idiot president GONE!. Any good description will be posted on our more liberal page with encouragement to folks to take a look. Don't have to join if you don't want to but please see the other side. And yes, the nasty group quotes Fox all the time. I'm too old to fight many battles but I'm upset with what is going on here

We cannot afford any more of this administration.
Maybe townsfolk's are keeping their opinions to themselves, I don't know.
