2. He's a loser, so he accuses heroes of being losers. He's a con man so he accuses others of cheating.

He puts himself first while claiming to put America first. He is unable to stop himself from lying about big things, small things, life and death issues. It's all the same to him. He cannot tell the truth. When he accuses others he is projecting on to them what he knows himself to be.
