(8,372 posts)Senators need to question her rigorously at the confirmation hearings. Who is her "head"? Her husband, Jesse Barrett?
Who is his "head"? Who will make her decisions? To whom does she give ultimate allegiance, her "head" or the U.S. Constitution?
Spoiler alert: not our Constitution.

(7,859 posts)..... the other mainstream religious couple in the news. How far out of the mainstream beliefs is Amy Coney Barrett and her "head" (in the cult) in comparison to Mrs. Jerry Falwell Jr. and her "head" (aka husband, aka the watcher).
We should all be questioning what it is in these cultist religious linked groups that make them behave to the extremes that the majority of us are not part of?
If this woman is confirmed who will be making her decisions? Her or the "head" in the chain of command that she is subservient to?
Where will our laws and the U.S. Constitution fall in her decision-making process?
MY fear is they will have NO PLACE in her opinions.

(8,009 posts)Even the name sounds more like the charismatic protestant or nutball protestant type groups. Bet they don't much like the current Pope much either.
Once they install her they'll obviously have the votes to overturn Roe v Wade and it'll be back to individual states to determine abortion and perhaps even many woman's rights.
There sure have been an unusual amount of RC who have been on the SCOTUS the last decade.
Odd...

(2,626 posts)due to the religious leaders' and her husband's authority over her. She would be bound by her faith to render opinions that would be acceptable to her religious organization whether or not they were in line with the US Constitution.
No wonder the R's and tRump are desperate to get her in there.

(24,906 posts)seem to think it's okay to put Catholic #6 on the Supreme Court. Hell, most of them don't even think Catholics are true Christians or Americans
