2. Real virologists with real bona fides were saying that, too, in late January

and early February. They just altered their opinions as more data came in about this virus.

Dumdum just refused to keep up with any of it. Having destroyed any hope we had of an effective response to a novel virus like this one when he disbanded the pandemic commission because he hated Obama, he just doubled down on magical thinking.

Nothing has changed, either. I won't complain about what he said in February, I will complain about his destruction of the response team and his consistent refusal to accept any responsibility for that.

And that's just another reason he's got to go.
