He says we MUST kill Trumpism. And the only way to do that is to destroy Trump and as many of his enablers as possible in this election. Otherwise, he says, they will still be out there, and be a viable force to deal with.

That's just a nicety. Maybe even a formality. But not a necessity.

The Dodgers didn't have to wait for a concession phone call from the Rays before being declared winner of the World Series.
