My dad was a big band fan. It was, after all, the music of his youth. He listened on a big cabinet model Silvertone radio/phonograph that sat next to his chair. It was an impressive piece of furniture.

Alan Alda's father. The actual pianist is Oscar Levant.

This was one of my father's favorites. He would have been 95 today.
