Trump will never concede, for one simple reason. If he concedes, he loses his base. He loses his money supply, his emotional support drug, his last, dwindling claim to power. He is 74 years old, his health is not great, and his ability to regain that base in four years after having thrown in the towel will be non-existent. He will be hounded by creditors and his brand is in tatters. He will likely not be "broke" but he won't have the lavish resources he had in 2016. That's assuming he's not making license plates somewhere.

Most politicians learn early on that politics is a cutthroat business. Losing is inevitable at some point in your career, and the only thing you can do is to pick up the pieces and await the next opportunity. He never had to face that until now, and it's a bitter pill to swallow. What he doesn't realize is that the longer he drags this out, the more he loses the support of previous fervent allies. His cult won't abandon him altogether, but they will drift off the next time a new shiny leader comes along.

Biden knows this, and frankly. it's mostly immaterial to him. He's become adept at video conferencing, and most of the conversations at this stage are ones that you want to have preserved. It's also likely that, having been in the White House for eight years, he's not necessarily that anxious to go back to the physical building and its cage-like environment. Besides, given the recent covid superspreader events there, the place will most likely need to be completely sanitized, and that could take months. All he really needs are the keys to the White House.

trump is now irrelevant! Something his desperate, insatiable ego can't handle. Mary Trump said it... those rallies were for his ego. He's desperate to be center of attention and there will never be nothing like the presidency for him again.

I can't wait until his name and face become just a bad and distant memory.
