Has Giuliani really gone off the deep end, or is he just being fatalistic about thinking he'll have no better gig than $20,000 a day for making a fool of himself for as long as he can stretch it out. After a couple of months at that rate (assuming he gets paid), at his age, what does he care what Trump or the media says about him?

Of course, one can't help but wonder if Trump doesn't do his usual routine and tell Rudy, "hey, you didn't keep me on as President, so I'm not paying." Then Rudy can sue, and Act II begins.
