But ....... as someone who spent their whole life in the carnival business, as a worker, a promoter, a owner and as a supplier I am TIRED of hearing "carnival BARKER". Not only is it derogatory it's not even accurate. The people referred to so loosely are called TALKERS, and have been for at least 42 years. For such a "big tent" we have having to hear this crap from my own "side" is getting a bit tiresome I must admit.
