What people are saying here in TN is, "oh, the virus (usually a laugh), I'm so done with that." Or "I'm so over that." Very dismissive.

These people have zero respect for Nature, science, themselves or others.

Nearby school district has 25 student cases in 2 weeks. Not even a thought of going virtual.

Give them a holiday & they will weaponize it. And they are.

2. How can people possibly ignore the recent surge of cases - and deaths?!

Health care workers are all over the news reporting from the front lines, overwhelmed and exhausted! We were doing fairly well here in New York, fortunately have a governor who takes this global pandemic seriously, and Upstate we have had relatively few cases, but now the local cases are making the headlines again and we haven't even experienced Thanksgiving yet - and what could be devastating results!

"CDC posted in July that 90% of people who wear masks most of the time, always, or often are getting positive tests (which are 80% inaccurate BTW) and they are getting covid. People who don't wear masks or seldom wear them are not getting sick. "

So tons of people are going to get sick because of lowered immunity and lowered general health from wearing masks. This is what will happen naturally as a result of 9 months of mask wearing.

Use the brains God gave you. If masks and social distancing and staying at home worked we would never be having a second surge. And trust me we aren't.

5. Good God! Everyone from Joe Biden to Dr. Fauci have been advocating masks for months

And the problem is that too many people didn't take this seriously and refused to listen. Don't these morans hear news from other countries which have successfully made progress in reducing the cases - Asian countries plus New Zealand and Australia? I guess I should consider the source, but this is not only insane, but as dangerous as it gets!

6. All I can think about are all those brave, selfless, wonderful healthcare workers, from doctors,

nurses, med techs, and even the custodial staff. They are already paying an enormous price for their dedication. And so many of our spoiled, ignorant, and selfish fellow Americans couldn't give a rat's ass about our healthcare providers.

7. I just heard Chris Hayes announce the staggering number of new cases reported just today

And my heart sank. I thought of those stricken, but also of the providers. How anyone can possibly deny what is happening globally - let alone in this country - just boggles the mind. Since there is so much intentional ignorance and denial, I've long dreaded the colder weather driving everyone inside and I fear that the deniers' Thanksgiving gatherings are only the start. In so many places, all those that you named have already reached their limit.
