Why Socrates Hated Democracy

If we don't have decent Universal education you can then see the potential for demagogues to take over with basic skills. It is now evident.

Underneath it all, it is a well informed citizenry that does not fall prey to con men and charlatans. That may be one reason we just dumped a despot. We may not be so fortunate next time.

I think Socrates had a good point worthy of consideration and an ounce of prevention is certainly worth a pound of cure. Let's make education a beacon of wisdom in how to think critically, and not just about absorbing and regurgitating information to pass a test.

which is why Reagan abolished it, then vetoed legislation to re establish it three times. Those bastards had Limbag and Murdoch all lined up as propagandists and propaganda only works when it isn't answered.

There is actually solid theory behind democracy as long as it is universal and people are informed with basic information, the lie machines countered by truth just often enough to inject doubt.

Restrict the size of the group, you risk bias and groupthink, both of which will decrease accuracy.
