Chris Hayes: America Nearly Failed The Trump Stress Test For Democracy - All In - MSNBC

“The problem with the plan—the thing that stopped it—wasn't so much the institutions. It's just that Trump lost the election by too much to really pull his plan off,” says Chris Hayes discussing how democracy nearly failed amid the 2020 election. Aired on 11/24/2020.

Unless fundamental electoral reforms are enacted (starting with reviving the Voting Rights Act), we may not be so lucky next time.

I first became aware of it when I tuned into one of his Town Halls where he gave a lengthy introduction, explaining the issues and what was going on. He told me everything I need to know and I was impressed. People are admirers of Rachel and Lawrence for the same reason and it's well deserved, but Chris Hayes deserves the same credit for his knowledge of the issues and his ability with guests.

especially for the final federal attempt to use pre-emptive lawsuits and stealth undermining of the constitutionally established postal system, then post-election lawsuits and loyalty pressures of state voting officials to undermine the whole voting process and outcome.

The old saying, "Denial is the last refuge of scoundrels" describes the last four years, yet almost 74 million Republican votes show they are just fine with living like that.
