In Washington State.
The Ferry scene was filmed from my local dock .
The rest was filmed in L.A. I believe.

Talk about a trip down memory lane: IMSAI 8080 computer. Monochrome monitor. 7" floppy disks. Acoustic coupler modem. Dot matrix printer. External monophonic speaker. Just wow!

At the time of the movie, this was a state-of-the art personal computer system. It's interesting that the film never fully explains how David came up with his system since it would have been quite expensive.

Bonus question: Did you know that years before serving as Chief of Staff to President Bartlett, Leo McGary was a nuclear missile commander? (wink)

Quite a logical progression...

...and what a great movie "Wargames" still is!
