Unfortunately there are Democrats opposed to the idea, and we won't have even a single vote leeway, assuming we get to 50 Senators.

I just don't see it being a legitimate shot until at least 2023.

If the rationale "the Supreme Court doesn't have to be nine Justices" is applied, there is no reason why the RW could not add a couple more justices to the Court, meaning the Democrats would have to add more for illusory "parity," meaning there would be a Justices Race that would put the Arms Race to shame and make the USSC more of a mockery of justice than it already is.

Be careful what you wish for. The GOP probably thinks they are safe with the current makeup of the Court, but if I were them, I'd surely be thinking about insurance. It's gonna be a long, cold four years for them.
