I remember hearing of Republicans who went long on the stock market in early 2008 - both because they were sure the GOP would retain the White House, and because they thought it would tip the scales in their favor.

Conversely, the same people hoarded gold throughout 2011 thinking it would somehow "hurt" Obama's re-election chances.

Suffice it to say, they lost a pretty penny both times.

Will it actually go to help republicans or to help the Trumps?

At one time, it was also to pay off election debts.

That seems to have gone by the wayside.

Imagine; Trump paying his debts.

money will buy Republicans a different outcome to the election.

BUT I'm not seeing it.

Keep donating to Trump though, I'm sure he will put your money to good use!
Melania is a high maintenance wife, and so are the kids. /sarcasm

Once you are out of money, out of a job, and out of food, I'm sure someone will bail you out. But it won't be Trump, or any other Republican.

He is just a common thieving con-man who has been running scams his entire life. He bilks the suckers, some of whom should have known better like the bankers. His scams have run from phony real estate deals to selling steaks and passing out phony university degrees to suckers. It should be no surprise that he is able to bilk the under educated rubes. The wealthy that support him only do so because he supports the same rip offs they are running. That they were able to convince the working class to abandon the trade unions would be laughable except for the fact that it resulted in the working class becoming little more than serfs working for starvation wages without healthcare, decent wages and no pensions.
