Hed be right in line making them.
I notice that it WASN'T "too far" when they were making threats and instigating violence towards OTHER PEOPLE.
Only now that it's towards him and his, it's "Oh my! This is TOOOOOO far!"
Screw him.

(5,522 posts)He went along until it affected him. Typical Republican, no empathy.

(2,690 posts)You can't exculpate yourself that easily, sir. You are a Republican. You have been a Republican. You are and have been a supporter of a Political Party that disdains the constitution of the United States and most of its people.
Where were you when so-called Governor Kemp suppressed the African American vote in Georgia and violated if not the law than propriety by maintaining control over the gubernatorial election process when he was running for that office?
You did not complain then. No, like the rest of your plutocrat-supporting colleagues, you stood by with, I'm sure, nary a "tsk tsk" over Kemp's clearly corrupt practices.
So don't come crying for decency and fairness and an end to threats of violence when you, yourself, sir, have been an enabler of the political atmosphere that made those threats of violence and that fundamental unfairness inevitable.

(1,665 posts)Everything is great when violence is directed towards other people, but as soon as it turns its ugly eye towards him, suddenly it's just too far.
He did NOT speak up until violence was directed towards him and his. He is NOT patriotic. Just a run of the mill self-centered, I-got-mine-so-screw-you hypocritical MAGAT who is perfectly fine with intimidation, suppression, repression, and violence.......just as long as, it isn't coming his way.

(9,760 posts)Just goes to show how low the R bar is when this belated condemnation of violence from a still loyal Trump/Perdue/Loeffler supporter is practically considered heroism.

Way TOO few, if you ask me.
What this Republican official did was decidedly, and thoroughly un-Republican.

(5,125 posts)SOME Republicans are NOT reThugs.
We USED to be able to work together and get things done.... back before Nixon mostly. BUT here and there a surprise happens and a Republican grows a spine and tells the crazies to Knock it THE ***K OFF!!
And they DON'T hurt their own. Only US and Ours.
