before he was ever charged with anything specific, so the precedent for that exists. Whether or not that extends to family members who were not officially part of the administration is another matter, especially when those pardons are specifically to avoid prosecution.

Even if they are allowed to stand, they will apply only to Federal charges. I'm sure the states have a whole list of things they're prepared to use to keep this bunch away from politics forever.
