on bringing that resolution to a vote is actually quite good.

Madame Speaker, I hope you're watching.

Who knew Steven Colbert had a parliamentarian on his writing staff?

And he definitely has opinions, agrees with most of us on DU - and did have his political show even though he played a character. And though his writing staff would have to keep up as well, I'm betting that most of what he says on the show are his opinions. And I agree that the leadership could do worse than to listen to Stephen Colbert...

I loved his Comedy Central show, and his press association take down of Bush II was simply awesome.

If anything he's gotten better with age. And I didn't think anyone could top Letterman.

During the campaign and after we were inexplicably stuck with Trump, I just couldn't handle watching the news - since it was all Trump, all the time. So watching Colbert helped keep me up to speed on things - with humor, which I badly needed. And I figured that others here might feel the same way, so I started posting his monologues back in 2017. Colbert really gets it and keeps up on the latest - but with humor which sure helps!

And I've been a big fan of David Letterman, too. Saw his show in person back in 2008 and he's not only funny and smart, but a nice guy as well. He came out beforehand to answer audience questions, then came out after the show to thank us all for being there - even after 30+ years.
