I loved McGovern and hated Goldwater, back in the day, but the vast difference in their ability to speak civilly to each other is in stark contrast to the way Republiturds treat Democrats today. Thank you for posting this, although I will always hate conservatism.

the zenith of Newt, Rove and others. One time at work late in the day, staff in the office next to me said they had been talking to McG. A few minutes later I left and went down Pa. Ave. I looked up and there was McGovern striding right past as big as life.
