(61,033 posts)She ran and tackled the teen while screening and yelling it was her phone. Now she's wanted by the police.
She needs to be taken off the steet asap. I imagine she's hiding out but will soon turn herself in as the whole world has seen the first video by now, and this one show her crazed actions even more.

(1,402 posts)The staff person in the video needs to be let go and the entire staff at the hotel needs training, ASAP. Arlo Soho Hotel was serving as the temporary home to the Harrold's. No one should feel threatened in their own home. Clearly, this was a hate crime. BOYCOTT!
Can't wait for this woman's arrest.

(3,216 posts)The fine should be stiff. The apology will be insincere but will be made in public. She is going to cry and cry and cry about how shes poor and struggling and panicked when she thought her phone had been stolen because how else can she talk to her sick mother blah, blah, blah. But her circumstances -- whether harsh or not -- shouldnt move the judge or jury (if she chooses a jury trial).
I think shell avoid jail because, though her action was clearly a violation of law, she was clearly reacting (albeit stupidly) to what she thought was a crime, an attack (of sorts) on her person.
I hope Im wrong because I think she should spend some time behind bars. But I just dont think the law is going to come down on her that harshly. Now if the young man had been injured -- and I havent seen that claim made -- it would be different.
