The U.S. Senate....
Is OURS AGAIN. The first time since 2012 and is a HUGE VICTORY thanks to two great candidates - Raphael Warnock and John Ossoff. One amazing, amazing, amazing Woman who turn the pain of being cheated into a mission for a Fair Fight (and likely future GA Governor -- The First African-American female ever when this happens) Stacey Abrams, millions of Georgia Voters, the ATL, Peachtree and the I-80 Burbs plus Millions upon Millions that placed President Elect Joe Biden and Vice-President Elect Kamala Harris in the White House 1/20.
However, we cannot LOSE FOCUS. Millions are hurting. We are in a pandemic. Financial assistance is needed ASAP. The Pandemic must be effectively dealt with and that could be a lockdown of some sorts for two to three months. OTHER vaccines over the two PEG mRNA vaccines must be approved ASAP to provide a level of comfort to those who do not want to take a mRNA vaccine. This has to be done.
Student Loan debt needs to go away as between the 2007-2013 Economic Recession, 2020 - TBD Pandemic Depression -- too many backsteps have been taken to ask many to pay off something they like never will. Small Businesses must be SUPPORTED, PERIOD - including industries (small businesses) hit hard by the pandemic. Climate Change issues must be addressed as future viruses and a lack of dealing with Climate Change go hand and hand.
Criminal Justice reform and Law Enforcement regulations must happen including the Justice Department reopening cases where Black/American individuals have died at the hands of Law Enforcement in a questionable matter.
The focus has to be on issues like the above for the immediate future and not everything on everyone's wish list. People are hurting. Period.
If we lose focus, in 2 to 4 years, we will wonder where did the good feelings of tonight, go.
