If he does that might not be all bad. He would further divide the Republican Party Quixote1818 Jan 2021 #10

He must go to jail if justice is good for anything. On sexual abuse charges there are about 30 of them, just on that. He is facing the rape charge from the journalist, and I won't go through the list, too much and we all know many of them. I also have to assume that there is a lot of stuff we don't know about that is waiting for him, his children, Giuliani, and many of his enablers.

The man weighs 300 lbs, likely with diabetes, hepatitis, and God-only-knows what else. He's a medical basket case.

He's lucky to have made it to 74, and if he's extra lucky, he may just live long enough to throw his hat in the ring again in 2023 - only to die within weeks.

A lot like Frank Rizzo - a man very much after Trump's heart (and with a similarly clogged one as well).

And when he croaks, there will, as I mentioned, probably be more than a few parallels drawn to Frank Rizzo.

Rizzo, you'll recall, was the former Philadelphia police chief and mayor - whose Mussolini-like thuggishness won him two terms as mayor at first, only to cost him a potential 3rd term in 1979 once the Philly Enquirer revealed endemic police brutality and corruption under his watch (and with his connivance).

Fast-forward a decade, and an embittered Rizzo decided it was time to run again - this time as a Republican - to "take back the city."

He threw his hat in the ring in '91 to great fanfare from right-wing media - only to die within weeks from a massive heart attack.

And so it'll probably be with our friend Cheeto: he may live long enough to launch his great "comeback" in '22 or '23 ("let's take back America!" he'll no doubt bellow) - only to be felled by his own poor health.

They're all either Bornsteins (God rest him) - or have been cowed into silence.

I don't think Needy Amin will be around long enough to be a concern for '24, that's all.

This much I can say: When Cheeto croaks, 70% of Repugs will tweet, retweet, and otherwise parrot that "he was poisoned by Biden!!!"

That little belief might become an issue in the '23/'24 campaign season - but only in the GOP primaries.

The candidate that espouses that conspiracy theory the loudest, will be the nominee (God help us).

If I heard correctly, unlike impeachment, it will only require a majority vote, which Dems will have.

If the field is large enough, he only needs 20 or 30% max to be ahead of the field.

Plus, he’s gotta grift somehow.
