I keep writing about my RW "Friend" here on DU.
After sharing an extremely racist post then stating "I hate when people call me a racist, after posting a normal post", I cut all ties, and have not spoken with her since late August/early September. She has reached out a couple of times, but I just ignore them.

As I see it, these people have no clue that they are racists. They think they are just proud about their whiteness and a typical American.
We will never get to them, so I've stop trying.
I kept telling her that I was trying to make her a better person, to no avail.

I go back to Steve Schmidt's letter,

be more absurd or words to that affect. Little did Stewart, or any of us know, what was coming down the road. My kids saw me flipping out for 8 years of Bush and when Trump came along they accused me of crying “wolf”. We thought Bush was the absolute worse president ever and his incompetence could never be match. Trump comes along and achieves a new low. Is it possible that in the future there could be a president worse than Trump? Literally, I cannot say one good thing about Trump as a president of a man. As flawed as “W” was I never saw him as an inherently evil person. As a man I could see Bush was a decent man who was in way over his head and was lead around by the rw chicken hawks. At least at the end, Bush tried to move separate himself from Cheney and retained at least a modicum of decency as he sprinted out of office. From a historical perspective, Trump was the best thing that ever happened to George Bush.

White supremacists promote the false belief that white descendants of Europeans are superior to other populations because their ancestors colonized and tamed the wilderness of what would later become a wealthy and powerful country and therefore they somehow should be privileged, first-class citizens of that country while other groups should accept second-class status. This first-vs-second-class citizens model has numerous inflections, including voter suppression, immigrant banning, fundamentalist Christian theocracy (which seeks to codify fundamentalist taboos like homosexuality and abortion), redlining in housing, police harassment of non-whites, etc. I don't see what's so hard to grasp about this as it's basically what groups like Identity Evropa have openly espoused, and what our founding documents generally aspired against despite including specifics (slavery, Electoral college, 2nd Amendment, etc.) that seem to support it.
