on board who dressed (with the limitations of his uniform) and looked just like that, down to the pocket watch chain.

He said they called him Mark Train.

Anyway, I was walking out of Central Park when I caught up behind two guys who were also walking toward 5th Avenue. One was Hal Holbrook, talking to his friend about how he was going to the White House the following week.

Naturally, I slowed down to eavesdrop.,

I din't get if he was performing our receiving an award.

... in Chicago, and ate breakfast with Eric Burdon at the Sheraton in Cleveland with his stage manager and Belkin rep. See Chuck Woolery pretty frequently at the donut shop in town; while he's actually a nice enough guy, he's not the sharpest tool in the shed.
