9. Funny you should post this . . . I recently ran across a video of a contestant on "The Voice" . . .

doing a masterful version of "Redemption Song", and in English . . . but with my very limited linguistics knowledge, I can't decipher which country's "Voice" program it is, or what language they're speaking . . . any help? . . .

I'd only be guessing. I really don't know. It sounds a bit like Frisian which is a bit of gutteral Dutch ("Ne-ne" is Dutch), German and I forgot the other ... my Dutch husband described it to me years ago.
