(1,040 posts)a) who could trust what he would remember about them? Trump has the attention span of a primary student.
b) who could trust what he would say about the material? Trump speaks in so much hyperbole that everything he says is suspect.
c) the only thing that Trump would listen to would be stuff about Trump.

(2,065 posts)Are almost painful to watch. It's like all these talking heads are sent in to answer a stupid question that we all know the answer to. Perhaps this situation is more of an indication of the respect we have for the office of POTUS, and not for the world class criminal and con man that was occupying that office.
As I see it, the cascade or hierarchy of reasons (and there are many) why Donald Trump should not be given access to intelligence briefings are:
1) He has a cavalier and self serving attitude towards our government, and the information it runs on, as just political tools to scam with.
2) He tends to be naive, ignorant and uninformed, and unappreciative of the risks and sacrifices made to obtain said information, and views the circumstances around it in a shallow, self serving way.
3) He has previously spilled the beans and revealed classified information, like to the Russians, that we know of, and lord knows who else.
4) He is politically and financially compromised, and owes a lot of people, especially hostile foreign actors, lots of money.
5) Our government would get little or no benefit from his insights and input, and whatever insights he had or input he would give would, in all probability, be spun and twisted to his own advantage. Trump serves no one but himself, and is not interested in serving this country.
