(14,529 posts)Not gotten around to watching it yet. Yeah I had a vague feeling that the Iron Man guy was a Republican, but I wasn't sure. I did see him on tv in an environment-related psa though.

Folks, if you've not seen him in Chaplin, you must. He was nominated for an Academy Award for best actor for that film and won a BAFTA Award.
He's one of my favorite actors (have many), I think because of his ability to portray vulnerability so well. I've never had any doubts about his liberal bent.

That character has become iconic & is referenced in other movies. Remember Matt Damon's character in The Martian:
