If anyone can do it at home for fun and laughs... what else can be done by experts looking to make trouble? This is scary.

1. Here's hoping technology keeps pace

so that fake video can be discovered. Even if the truth comes out, however, the damage is often already done. I am reminded of this quote from Mark Twain: ‘ A lie can travel halfway around the world while the truth is still putting its pants on.’

2. The political/media world is not prepared to deal with this.

We can't get people on the same page with reality even without video. When the video seemingly backs up the lies,, it is going to be ugly.

but on a scale of 1 to 10 -- this is about a 1 compared to what the the real deep fake technology can put together.
