- Capitol mob got close to Pence, Romney & Schumer, new footage shows - BBC News, Feb 11, 2021.
Impeachment managers from the Democratic Party released security footage for the first time since the US Capitol riots on 6 January. The videos show US Vice-President Mike Pence came within a few hundred feet of the rioters when he was escorted to safety. Senators Mitt Romney & Chuck Schumer had to turn around to avoid the mob.

Then again, the news habits of most of the population are a in sad state.

As far as the GOP Senate, and those who made a deliberate choice not to watch, it's unsurprising but dangerous.

Our democracy has never seemed so fragile in my lifetime.
