(7,475 posts)I now get mail 2 or 3 days a week. I can live with that but:
Be careful of things like your Credit Card bills. I had extended conversation with Bank of America in regard to a bill that was due on December 18th. I pay my bills early. Paid the bill and mailed it on December 7th. It was credited to my account on December 22nd, 4 days late.
I called my bank after receiving a notice that my bill was late and to make sure the check had not cleared before issuing a new check. I assumed the check was lost.
I then called Master Card and they said they did not get it in time. Does it now take that long to get from Mass to Delaware? They credited me the late charge but I will now pay the bill even earlier or drive to the nearest B of A branch and pay directly. This Post Office delay is not excusable.
I never had this problem and have had this CC account for 28 years. I don't blame Bank of America, I blame the mail delivery.

(2,016 posts)Exactly as you have detailed. Same discussions with CC companies, same outcome. I never had a problem, as with you, until Dejoy's intended slow-down. Make us lose confidence in the USPS, and he'll get richer off his alternate companies.
C'mon, new postal commissioners!
