We've had nothing but Reaganomics for the last 6 presidents. It never went away. That's why our wealth gap is so huge.

And to a certain degree the arguments make sense on a prima facia level. Therein lies our challenge, I think. We need to make a better case for liberalism, because, in the end, liberalism is better.

Gutting the middle class, leaving no landing pad for less than ferocious capitalist to reside, will make not being rich a terror in the USA. Ladders will be pulled up. Corruption will ensue. The rich will not be taxed at all and the poor will not be able to muster the power to change things.
