Texas is paying the costs of Texas exceptionalism and resistance to any regulation. Now, the Governor is trying to blame the loss of life on AOC and the Green New Deal.

I've got kin in Texas. (We try not to talk about them.) I worry there is no amount of loss of life that will make them realize that the deaths are the natural result of Texas' insistence on going it alone (until it must beg federal relief) and the confidence that no market should be regulated.
