Conservatives commonly accuse the major social media companies of censoring
the political right. In response to Twitter’s decision on January 8, 2021, to exclude

2. In general

it doesn't matter how much you debunk the idea that the media is hostile to conservative viewpoints, it is a part of the mythology that most conservatives have, just one more supposed data point that proves to them that they are a persecuted group. This is also true of American conservative Christians, who believe that atheists and pagans are determined to persecute them (despite the fact that there are far fewer atheists + pagans than there are evangelical Christians). Studies are meaningless here - academics are part of the group that are out to destroy their belief system or lifestyle choices, all because those academics are doing it for the grant money. Of course, if any of them actually tried to live on what the typical academic makes, they'd go broke fast.
