I know that people are bored and frustrated, but it scares me that we're jumping the gun on this...

It's next to impossible to get vaccinated around here. Te only friends I know who were vaccinated so far is one who works in the hospital ER and another who substitute teaches - and she had to drive 3 hours to get it!

There millions of jobs/businesses that are dependent on people being social. Think bars, restaurants, gyms, movie theaters, etc. Getting back to normal means that these people get to pay their rent/mortgages because lord knows our government has not done and is not doing nearly enough to offset the economic hardship that most Americans are going through.

We are just so callous, and down right classist, about the plight of workers in industries where you cannot Zoom your work.

My point is that we should have been much further along with dealing this than we are. Trump succeeded in ignoring the giant elephant in the room for an entire year so Joe Biden is basically starting from square one. We are making progress as he deals with this horrific pandemic as well as every other national issue that was completely ignored for 4+ years, but it's only been a month.
