4. I was 15 in 1970 and....

Just found out that my girlfriend's father had a "friend," a man, who lived with them. They were lovers and she told me very matter of factly which blunted the shock value of the revalation at the time. This was my introduction to alternative sexual situations. Then came Hair the musical and all the other popular culture references which followed. It opened my eyes and set me on the path to cultural liberation permanently.

6. I remember when this first came out . . . friends and I loved the song . . .

but didn't pay all that much attention to the lyrics . . . when it got to "boys will be girls and girls will be boys" we thought it was kinda funny, but we didn't really grab its relationship to alternative sexuality . . . don't know if we were just dumb, or constantly stoned (probably the latter) . . . whole different meaning all these years later . . .
