U.S. Relations With Saudi Arabia Put To The Test Following Khashoggi Report - MSNBC

Saudi Arabia has condemned a newly released federal report blaming the Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman for the death of journalist Jamal Khashoggi. Mr. Khashoggi had been a vocal critic of the Saudi royal family. He was killed at the Saudi Consulate in Istanbul in 2018. President Biden is now under pressure to sanction the Crown Prince, as he tries to redefine America’s relationship with the Kingdom. NBC’s Joshua Johnson spoke with Former CIA Director John Brennan about the difficult road ahead for the allies.

Actually, I had attempted to post this at one minute before the scheduled shut down - since I had forgotten, then remembered - and I just missed it!

I had about eight other tabs open (mostly the SNL clips) so that I could watch the videos. I'm glad that the updates that Elad made went smoothly and that DU came back online so quickly.

I'll be concentrating on West Virginia and Ohio tonight, but I may hang it up early since I was busy most of Sunday. At least I was able to get all of my prescriptions refilled today so I can mark that down as an accomplishment.

And I'm still waiting for John Oliver. I hope that you didn't miss the SNL clips, I actually thought that the Mirror Workout sketch was the funniest, not strictly political, but it does address "current events."

And kudos to you for getting that accomplished today. Since I've been isolating, I don't always manage much. But I did get something accomplished Friday that was unexpected and made my week, maybe my year. After figuring it would be weeks or months, I got my vaccine shot on Friday - CVS pharmacies have just started offering the Moderna vaccine locally. Until now, anyone I knew who had managed to get it had to drive hours away - including those who require it for their jobs. So I'm feeling a little less terrified for the future.

When Trump made his initial visit to Saudi Arabia - instead of the traditional visit to our closest neighbor, Canada - that was certainly my first thought! How soon we forget! Yikes!
