We are supplementing the low wages with everything from SNAP to Medicaid, all so the rich can get richer by exploiting the very people that make their riches possible.

There is a limit to how top heavy a society can get. I fear we are near that limit.

The smartest thing the rich could do for their own self interest is to share their wealth, building a stronger society.

I hope so, been hearing people say for 15 years ago that we must be damn close to that limit
yet it never seems to come. Won't be pretty when it does.

Or the Fall of Rome.

They can either give up some of their power and wealth through peaceful means, or prepare for an upheaval that will surely not be pretty.

I have been hearing for fifteen years we are near the limit and it never comes. What I suspect has happened
is the ruling elite have studied history and have figured out how to keep things as they like almost indefinitely.
They have studied history indentifying with those evil elites and have avoided most of their mistakes.
I desperately hope I'm wrong somehow, but just look at all the developing countries where the capitalists keep
the populace down indefinitely.
