use all natural oils flea collars on my cat. It's good for a year and it's water proof. There's NO reason to have ison to use poison on any pet.

6. While I dust a 20-foot barrier around the house twice a year, I use diatomaceous earth elsewhere.

I buy food grade DE and sprinkle it around. It takes care of all insects. House centipedes, crickets, anything.

If people ever are unlucky enough to get bedbugs, DE is fantastic to get them.


DE causes soft bodied ones it gives micro cuts so they dehydrate in a couple of days.
Hard exoskeleton ones it jams their joints and mandibles and they die in a few days too.

I sprinkle it around and inject it in crevices, outlets, and anywhere else bugs would hide.


Unfortunately, I live in an area where fleas are easily spread, and taking the dog outside to go exposes them. Then, they come inside and the fleas would spread to the house cats. The house perimeter I use a broad-spectrum insecticide.
