One wonders why Moderate and Centrist Democrats don't understand our current politics.
Oh brother!

So what you're saying is that moderate and centrist Democrats are dumb. Charming!

Are you saying that AOC is wrong?
I said nothing at all about her. Look closely (above) and it's easy to see that my comment was in response to the following specific (and ridiculous) statement.

One wonders why Moderate and Centrist Democrats don't understand our current politics.

It's an absurd smear of Democrats. It's a a false and unnecessary characterization and it serves no good purpose.

Republican sabotage of checks cut to urban populations?

Why is asking about their position an absurd smear rather than a respectful to challenge their thinking? And is their thinking in line with their voters' thinking?

What is the aim of moderates here? What is their good purpose?

That's not what the original post was doing. You know perfectly well that the premise of the statement (which I previously quoted) was intended purely to insult the intelligence of moderate Democrats by insinuating that they have an inability to "understand". There was nothing at all "respectful" about that.

Have a nice day.

... by insinuating the moderate and reasonable and real-world Democrats lack intelligence. It's so unnecessary.

I get so tired and fed up with monetized click-bait YouTube channels. They're everywhere, apparently. I always down-vote those types of videos whenever I'm baited and tricked into clicking.

....it barely makes a dent in their overall budget. Let's give MORE to those at the bottom, and pay less at the top.

Simple math, taking $1400 for a single person:

That's almost 5% for a person making $30,000 a year, but it's less than 2% for a person making $75,000 a year.

Let's say we reduce the $1400 to $1000 for that $75,000 person (still about 1.3%) and give the $400 to that $30,000 person - now up to 6%! What a huge difference that makes.

11. Because the "all or nothing" philosophy works so well, eh?

Going home empty handed is no virtue. All-or-nothing is a totally losing proposition. Refusing to accept a compromise and killing the first major bill of the Biden administration is not something to be proud of. This particular YouTube channel is a monetized Democrat-hating clickbait channel anyway.

All I'm trying to say is that people need to be aware that "you don't always get what you want" and any progress at all is better than no progress. We need mature and reasonable representatives who are willing to compromise, willing to find common ground and mutual interests... and who are willing to swallow their pride and do what's necessary to to move forward.

Refusing to budge only maintains the status quo. Compromise in the name of progress (any progress) is, by definition, PROGRESSIVE!!
