How bout' the Senate Dems FIGHT for a change. The majority party in all 3 branches can't pass something that 70% of the people want. GTFOHWTBS!

10. How about understanding that she alone cannot do it. Schumer must be able to negotiate with Manchin

and the other, he IS the majority leader, AOC is in Congress.

I don't get it, people are so eager to go after AOC when in my view she is one of the best people we have in the Democratic party, no republican can get next to challenging her on anything because every time they do they come out looser, but here in DU there is an eagerness to go after her anytime she says something that, although true, doesn't align 100% with the rest of the Democrats.

AOC is a jewel, and we must make sure she stays in Congress. This country needs progressives, we do need to move forward, and AOC is a champion on that.

5. We do not have the votes to just RAM-THROUGH everything we want.

Many of us live in the real world and we understand that we don't have the votes to get rid of the filibuster. And with a tenuous 50-50 split in the Senate (with VP Harris as the tie-breaker) we ain't gonna get our way.

Reality-based politics does not always match up with wishful-thinking.

How bout' the Senate Dems FIGHT for a change.
That's offensive. It's an insinuation that the Democrats don't fight, and that's simply not true.

6. Again with this. It's simple math, a 50-50 split in the Senate and ties broken by the VP.

Manchin and Sinema, you never know what they're going to do. AOC should know this by now. We don't have the votes to just ram through everything we want.

She causes almost as much trouble on the other end of the political spectrum and Manchin and Sinema do from their end.

Get the bill passes as it has a lot of good things in it for a lot of people.

7. Lets be real here, the $15.00 minimum wage was not going to pass because of people like Manchin

And passing the stimulus was important. They need to continue fighting for the $15.00 minimum wage, but to bundle ALL DEMOCRATS for this failure is unfair.

There were TWO Democratic Senators who were not going to vote for the $15.00 minimum wage, Manchin and I forget who the other is, so Biden, etc. decided to pass the stimulus but continue to fight for it. If the minimum wage had stayed in the bill then nothing would have passed.

This is all part of the debate that happens in a republic. Problem is the Republicans. They aren't debating, they are obstructing.

As to this vid, it sounds more radical than it is. We urgently do need to take massive steps to correct the wealth imbalance, and so many things need to be addressed, it isn't even funny.

are automatic Dem votes. They are not. Both have signaled they are not in favor of the $15.00 and hour minimun wage. Either of them could scuttle the whole bill so compromises have to be made.

They have to know that. And AOC of all people should know that by now.

God. It's simple math, you either have the votes or you don't.
