If he's moderate and wants to work together why didn't Portman vote with him? Portmans supposed to be a moderate. Because he's such a dumbass he doesn't realize republicans are NEVER going to vote with democrats.

It's not the word I'd have chosen, but I think either would work here and be correct. I certainly hope he doesn't say "Democrat Party".

Especially since Biden has already announced he wants the 2021 reconciliation bill to be for infrastructure.

Hopefully Schumer, or one of his Dem colleagues will set him straight.

Maybe fellow senators could change the filibuster to include debate on the floor as long as all of the minority senators calling for the filibuster are on the floor the entire time. Then, the new senate rules would also include a simple majority will pass any and all bills.

Would Manchin go for this? He would get his filibuster.

I got to say, I am very tired of one person in our government holding all the power. We have dealing with this for many years with different faces.
