Both Jake Tapper & Martha Raddatz grilled Joe Manchin on why a Senator from a poor state would limit their income and on the filibuster. He gave willfully naive answers.

(7,383 posts)Maybe fellow senators could change the filibuster to include debate on the floor as long as all of the minority senators calling for the filibuster are on the floor the entire time. Then, the new senate rules would also include a simple majority will pass any and all bills.
Would Manchin go for this? He would get his filibuster.
