in order to celebrate the life of someone who died of an incurable disease. Am I missing something here, other than not being a sports fan? I pretty much grew up without dad around either.. which probably indirectly led to my reactive total dislike of competitive sports, and seeing them as pointlessly divisive pastimes. It's funny how the same stimulus can create or elicit equal and opposite responses from different people.

I'm avoiding all spectator events for the foreseeable future.

I'm sorry you lost your dad to this horrible disease. Watching what it did to Stephen Hawking was totally heartbreaking.

That MLB is requiring a MAX seating capacity of 50%. In an open stadium like say, Yankees Stadium, that's a lot of open space.

Now, before someone blasts me, I'm NOT saying I agree with even that much fan seating (I'm a nurse - and one who believes in science - not a tRumpHumping, denialist, bone head), just that they are taking some precautions.
