Scared the bejeezus out of me. I had a death grip on the metal bar.

Then, the guy who had come with us guided me to the bunny slope and I fell about 20 times going down, ripped out the crotch of my pants. Then, when I got down, I didn't have any money so I ended up waiting for hours while my wife skied off trail with this guy.

She is my ex, now, but not because of that. But that day was a horrible experience that I never repeated.

But then, I have an intense dislike for participating in pretty much any sport. My idea of a good time is a good book.

take you from one side of the park to the other. I was riding it one time with my seven or eight-year-old niece. As we went over the bumper car building she saw a stuffed animal on the roof that someone had dropped. I had a hell of a time keeping her from sliding out of the seat to go get that toy 20 feet below.

That's really impressive, especially if he was wearing gloves.

chairlift..then stopped it at the top where he got help..

Similar experience about 15 years ago..3 couples rented a townhouse in Payson AZ..we skied Sunrise, about ten miles away...the three guys were on the chair ahead of us three gals..we had been on the bunny slope..practicing (had not been on skis for years)..I fell several times and my parka was wet..

Yup, I slid off the chairlift right from the start..I looked up and the chair went over my head..they stopped it so I could get back on..I am now scared to death..but still she goes on..

We got to the jump off waaay up there..and my hesitation caused me to have to jump at least from 10 feet...remember, the guys are waiting for us..one of them had the presents of mind to make their way over to me, and one decided they needed a picture of me in mid-air..which I still have..my descent was protected by the guys - not sure who took the picture ..
