(7,911 posts)I sleep either 9 PM to 5 AM to 10 PM to 6 AM depending on if it's Daylight Savings or Standard, but I never lose and hour or gain an hour of sleep. Since I'm retired I can get away with that. Come the switch this weekend I set the clocks one hour ahead and start going to bed one hour later by the clock, but at the same time by my body's clock.

(111,255 posts)Changing twice a year increases accidents and has health consequences for a lot of people. What we set the clock at is irrelevant as long as we stick to it.
There's a bill in the NM lege about year round DST. I hope it passes. Standard time is fucking depressing, people who work business hours never really see the sun and the farther north you go, the worse it gets.

(22,800 posts)of whack, not just one. Anyone who has flown to another continent has suffered a greater time difference than anybody who has to move the clock one hour ahead or one hour behind. It is not that big a deal! Talk about First World Problems!
