that's when the sixties finally died.

Looking back at the '80s, in films, I sometimes grieve- thinking about what might have been if the Greed is Good crowd, hadn't taken over.

A man on a spiritual journey, taken just as he was ready to be a great president.

I know hardcore (older) Republicans who grow quiet if you mention RFK. He was 'a good man', they say. Like someone who has lost somebody in war, they don't wan't to talk about.

And I remember learning about him in school, he was obviously universally admired - and the more I learn abut him, the more I understand why. I also know some people who met him as kids. Even they were impressed by his kindness.

And helps you realize what's really important. Joe Biden doesn't sweat the small stuff, he just keeps moving forward. I really do believe he's the right man for these perilous times. And the fact that he has as much experience, both Senate and executive branch, as any POTUS we've had certainly doesn't hurt.

What we need in the United States is not division; what we need in the United States is not hatred; what we need in the United States is not violence and lawlessness, but is love, and wisdom, and compassion toward one another, and a feeling of justice toward those who still suffer within our country, whether they be white or whether they be black.

So I ask you tonight to return home, to say a prayer for the family of Martin Luther King yeah, it's true but more importantly to say a prayer for our own country, which all of us love a prayer for understanding and that compassion of which I spoke.

I never knew the the narrative about the Beatles hating each other at the end was overblown, as Ringo related. He said it was like brothers fighting, then making up. The latter part got left out so looking forward to the movie. Peter Jackson is an artist and I have no doubt he will render a fitting tribute.

Ringo is such a fine human being. Hard not to get emotional hearing him talk about his brothers who passed too young.
