He is calling for socialized medicine, inter alia. He's a bit strident but he makes his points.

Sen. Gravel is famous for reading the Pentagon Papers into the Congressional Record. When the people learned more about the Vietnam War, public opinion became more informed. Soon thereafter, an exasperated Walter Cronkite took off his glasses, rubbed his tired eyes ( live in the CBS Evening News) and ended the War.

Please try to become more informed, we need good decisions so desperately these days.

I am eternally grateful to Sen. Gravel, Daniel Ellsberg, and Uncle Walt. Without their dedication, bravery, good judgement, and hard work many more Americans, myself included would have died in that war.
